A large cancer center associated with a University is seeking a Pediatric Hematologist / Oncologist for locum tenens coverage.
About the Facility Location
The facility is located in Eastern Iowa - just south of Cedar Rapids.
About the Clinician's Workday
This role includes both inpatient stem cell transplant (SCT) service and outpatient SCT clinic, working Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. There is no formal call or weekend coverage, though occasional phone or text availability may be needed for urgent questions. The inpatient census typically ranges from 2-4 SCT patients, with 2-5 outpatient visits per day. Hospital privileges are required, Epic is the EMR, and clinical work includes auto / allo SCT, bone marrow harvests, and optionally CAR-T.
