About the Position
We have an opportunity available for a regional class A driver that will work Monday through Friday. It will be paid by the mile and will require the employee to drive a 10-speed tractor with a short sleeper bunk within the full guidelines of the FMCSA. We have no gimmicks to offer you, we're just expanding our fleet with customer freight.
We have the things that you need to be successful and we make no apologies for that.
- We don’t use driver numbers here, we never will; you have a name and we use it
- We have a competitive pay structure, no shell games like other carriers
- Health, Dental, Life and 401K available after 90 days to company drivers
- We have lots of miles every month, all year around. The employee must be willing to drive hard, but legal
- We utilize electronic logs; the driver will be expected to use it properly and to its maximum extent allowed by FMCSA. We run legal and no exceptions will be tolerated
- Trucks are pre-planned a day or two ahead of time for the most part.
- Safety, Efficiency, Canadian Border, Hazmat and Mileage bonuses are available that total $5000 annually
- We have very low driver turnover, well below the industry average, that should tell you something
- Late model tractors, as well as no trailers that are over 10 years old.
- Tractors that are assigned to you, with no slip seating
- Out on Monday morning, home on Friday night, home holidays and every weekend with one week of vacation after one year
- We have had a dedicated customer base since 1964
- Tolls, Lumper Fee's and Scales are all paid for by the company
- 65% of our freight is drop / hook and very little touching
