Senior Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT)
We are seeking a Senior Aircraft Maintenance Technician with extensive experience in Raytheon and Cessna Citation product lines to join our team at a growing MRO facility located at Davidson County Airport (EXX) in Lexington, North Carolina . This is a hands-on leadership role that combines technical expertise with mentorship, collaboration, and a strong safety-first mindset.
Role Overview
As a Senior AMT, you will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and documenting maintenance and alterations in accordance with 14 CFR regulations and industry best practices. You’ll work across a variety of aircraft platforms including Hawker Beechcraft 400A / XP, 800XP, King Air Series, Citations, and Phenom 300 . Your technical skills, attention to detail, and leadership will help ensure aircraft airworthiness while supporting and guiding teammates.
Key Responsibilities
Perform Aircraft Maintenance : Complete scheduled and unscheduled maintenance for turbine and turboprop aircraft.
Troubleshoot Systems : Diagnose and resolve mechanical and avionics discrepancies with sound technical judgment.
Ensure Compliance : Carry out maintenance in strict adherence to FAA regulations and established standards.
Use Digital Tools : Enter, track, and manage maintenance data using modern maintenance tracking systems.
Documentation : Maintain accurate, timely records in compliance with FAA requirements.
Collaborate : Work across departments to improve efficiency and aircraft readiness.
Mentorship : Support team development by sharing expertise, modeling professionalism, and fostering a safety-driven, collaborative culture.
Qualifications
Education & Licenses
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License (required)
Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred, not required
Raytheon & Cessna / Citation factory training preferred
Experience
8+ years maintaining turbine and turboprop aircraft
Strong, hands-on experience with Raytheon and Cessna Citation product lines
Skills & Knowledge
In-depth knowledge of 14 CFR Part 145 regulations and aviation safety standards
Proficiency with maintenance tracking systems (e.g., Traxxall, EBis)
Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
Ability to thrive under pressure and manage competing priorities
Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Compensation & Benefits
Pay : $45–$55 per hour (DOE)
Overtime : May be required based on operational needs
