Description - What You'll Do

• Conduct routine and advanced clinical laboratory tests-spanning chemistry, hematology, immunology, and more-following established procedures.
• Assess results for accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and carry out preventative maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
• Assist with the collection of specimens and prepare samples for analysis as necessary.
• Carefully document all procedures, mentor new staff or students, and maintain high lab quality standards.
• Ensure a tidy, safe work environment while adhering to regulatory and accreditation guidelines.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a relevant allied health degree, with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within one year of hire.
• Continuously uphold current certification for the duration of employment.
