Rinker Design Associates, LLC (RDA) is seeking a Senior Structural Bridge Engineer, P.E. with a Commonwealth of Virginia professional engineer’s license to join our Transportation Team in Manassas, Fredericksburg, Richmond, Virginia Beach or Waynesboro, VA .

The Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible for managing, supervising, designing, and detailing of bridges and other transportation structures, such as retaining walls. The position will also entail client and design team management, supervision, and development of junior and mid-level engineers. Excellence will be rewarded through promotions, raises, and bonuses.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop structural calculations and produce engineering drawings for both Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build projects related to bridge and transportation structures.
• Perform and direct engineering alternatives investigations through the collection and analysis of data, performing calculations, and evaluation of alternate solutions.
• Prepare written technical reports.
• Support construction phase of projects, including responding to RFI’s, review of shop drawings, problem solving, etc.
• Train and mentor junior engineers.
