As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure atmosphere at a prominent government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible throughout the site, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the government location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity, recognizing that working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Maintain a visible presence while on patrol to help to deter unauthorized individuals and / or activities.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities, hazards, or emergencies, and communicate findings promptly to the appropriate personnel.
  • Follow all instructions and protocols provided by Allied Universal and client site management regarding armed patrol duties.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and / or contractors by providing information and directions as needed while maintaining security-related protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A minimum of 6 months armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
