Job Summary

The Sterile Processing Technician III is a certified technician whose areas of responsibilities covering decontamination, assembling, sterilizing, storing, and distributing surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment according to established standards / guidelines. The SP Tech III demonstrates personal and professional effectiveness when working in an in-direct patient care department and addressing the request of the customer or provider.

Minimum Qualifications

Education :

High School Diploma or GED

AND

Central Service Technology Course / Or Equivalent Work Experience (at least one year experience in central sterile processing)

Licenses & Certifications :

One of the following : CRCST, CSPDT, or CRMST

AND

One of the following : CIS or CER

Work Experience :

a) Three (3) years' experience with Central Sterile Processing

Communication Skills :

a) Above Average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact)

b) Writing / Reports : Legible handwriting and coherent writing

Proficiencies :

a) PC : Skills must be appropriate to meet the job requirements
