Position Summary :
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join a school-based Intensive Autism Program . The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Special Education Teacher , implementing individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and supporting students in developing communication, academic, and social skills in a structured classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Implement individualized behavior intervention and instructional programs designed by the supervising BCBA and Special Education Teacher.
Provide direct one-on-one and group support to students with autism to enhance communication, social interaction, and daily living skills.
Collect and record accurate data on student progress, targeted behaviors, and intervention outcomes.
Utilize positive reinforcement and evidence-based ABA strategies to encourage appropriate behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
Maintain a structured, predictable classroom environment conducive to learning and behavioral growth.
Support students during classroom transitions, recess, lunch, and other daily activities.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other educational staff to ensure consistency across settings.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards.
Participate in ongoing training and supervision in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and special education practices.
Qualifications :
Education : High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field preferred.
Certification : Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred, or willingness to obtain within a designated timeframe.
Experience : Previous experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities preferred.
Skills :
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Patience, empathy, and consistency when supporting students.
Ability to follow detailed behavioral plans and direction from supervisors.
