Job Title : Building Systems Engineer Job Description

Investigate building systems and document operational data. Prepare recommendations for system improvements, maintenance programs, and evaluations. Work under the general supervision of the Engineering Project Manager and the technical oversight of engineers.

Responsibilities

• Document operational data and prepare recommendations for system improvements.
• Investigate and maintain building systems including fire detection, emergency power distribution, and digital controls.
• Apply knowledge in fire protection, generator systems, air / water balancing, and more.
• Solve complex problems and manage information effectively.
• Plan, research, analyze, coordinate, implement, and present program requirements.
• Interact professionally with departmental staff, contractors, manufacturers, vendors, and consultants.
• Assist engineers in evaluating contractors and equipment.
• Read and interpret complex construction documents and technical manuals.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and departmental staff.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $47.00 / hr.
