PCSI is looking for a Warehouse Specialist I as directed, performs a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the established storage plan. This position will report to the Warehouse Supervisor / Project Manager and is based in Norfolk and Virginia Beach, VA. Three shifts : 7 : 30am-4pm, 3 : 30pm-11pm, and 11pm-7 : 30am. What You'll Do as a Warehouse Specialist I :

• As directed, performs a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the established storage plan.
• Work involves most of the following : verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
• Perform warehouse functions including receiving, storing, moving and shipping inventory using Material Handling Equipment (pallet jacks and forklifts).
• Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials; examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage; and removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
• Performs clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping goods of the site in which employed and receiving incoming shipments. In performing day-to-day routine tasks follow established guidelines.
• In handling unusual non-routine problems, receives specific guidance from supervisor or other officials.
• Primary purpose is to perform any necessary or required grounds maintenance duties.
• Reports all accidents / incidents to Supervisor.
• Operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
