Commercial Liability Adjuster

Job Description

We are searching for a Commercial Liability Adjuster for a growing insurance company. The position will to work onsite in Centennial, Colorado and will be for 3-4 months; Pay up to $40/hr.

• Responsible for conducting investigations, setting adequate reserves, handling claim effectively throughout the life cycle of the claim, up to and including claim disposition and/or litigation in an expeditious and cost-effective manner.
• Ability to effectively work with minimal supervision. Possess experience to determine the nature of loss, coverage availability, scope of claim.
• Position requires a high level of oral and written communication skills. Nature of written work includes Caption Reports, Reservation of Rights, Disclaimers and/or any other necessary written correspondence.
• Ability to understand, evaluate and negotiate settlements for complex injury cases/claims made cases.
• Manages the litigation process throughout the finalization of the case.
• Works as a claims client manager when handling designated client claims.
• Actively participates in mediations, arbitrations, and appeal hearings within prescribed settlement authority.
• Communicates with vendors, defense counsel, clients, claimants, and insurance companies.
• Travels as necessary to attend appeal hearings, mediations, client claim reviews, arbitration/trial monitoring and/or as otherwise needed.

QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Five (5) or more years' experience in General Liability claims handling.
• Claims leadership background and/or claims designations a plus
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, Zoom
