Under the guidance of the Director and direct supervision of the Shift Manager, the Administrative Unit Coordinator performs essential reception and secretarial duties while occasionally assisting with indirect patient care activities.
Key Responsibilities
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical clerical experience is preferred.
Experience
At least one year of experience in clerical, receptionist, or hospital duties is preferred. Proficiency in typing and computer skills is essential.
Certifications
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Mental and Physical Requirements
Requires considerable mental concentration. Physical demands include lifting up to 35 pounds, frequent walking, standing, turning, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching. Attention to detail and accuracy are critical.
Working Conditions
Exposure to infectious diseases and potentially hostile individuals may occur intermittently. There is potential exposure to communicable diseases via blood and body fluids, as well as radiation. The role involves frequent interruptions and distractions but minimal physical discomfort.
