Job Description

Perficient currently has a career opportunity for a Senior Search Developer to join our team located in the United States. This role is primarily office-based at a local Perficient location, with travel and on-site client engagements expected as needed.

Job Overview

We're seeking a Search Implementation Developer to design, integrate, and optimize enterprise search experiences for our clients. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with one or more commercial / open-source search platforms, strong debugging chops in Java or .NET, and is comfortable deploying data and services in cloud environments. This is a client-facing role-clear communication and consulting maturity are essential.

As a Senior Technical Consultant you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of application developed for our clients. As a member working in a team environment you will take direction from solution architects and Leads on development activities.

Responsibilities

• Implement and configure search platforms (indexing, relevancy tuning, query pipelines, connectors, analytics, ranking signals).
• Build and debug services for ingestion, enrichment, ETL, and search orchestration (APIs, microservices).
• Design and deploy search solutions in a cloud-native environment.
• Implement search interfaces when needed using tools provided.
• Integrate with data sources and applications (databases, CMS / DXP, CRM, knowledge bases).
• Own troubleshooting across the stack-data pipelines, query performance, relevancy, scalability, and SLAs.
• Collaborate directly with clients : discovery, solution design, demos, documentation, and training.
• Learn something new every day.
