Software Engineer 1

TuneCore Engineering develops web applications in the music space supporting our talented customers and internal operations.  Were looking for a Software Engineer to help build the worlds best distribution and artist development platform in the world.  As a Software Engineer you will work with designers product managers and other engineers to implement new features on our platform.  Youll contribute clean concise high quality code. Our current technology stack consists mostly of Ruby on Rails and React but we are always looking to use the tools that are most appropriate for the task at hand.

Work with designers product managers and other engineers to implement new features on our platform

Contribute clean clear high-quality production code

Contribute unit and integration tests for new and existing features

Participate in code reviews and follow best practices in software development.

Troubleshoot and debug issues across the stack

Continuously learn and apply new technologies to improve product quality and developer efficiency.

Qualifications :

Experience writing production code is preferred but not necessary.

Experience writing code within the context of a web-based framework such as Ruby Node or Python along with an ORM.

Working knowledge of React.

Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON.

Understanding of Git and version control workflows.

Basic knowledge of databases (SQL or NoSQL).

Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
