Description

Location : Boston, MA - Bradston Street, Suffolk County House of Corrections

Schedule : Monday-Friday 8 : 00am-4 : 00pm

Pay rate : $28.85 / hour

The Counselor is responsible for :

  • Providing psychoeducation and evidence-based treatment to offenders (pretrial and sentenced men and women) according to the approved curriculum and completing all required documentation in the case record (OMS).
  • Facilitating 2-3 groups daily, based on current scheduling.
  • Demonstrating the ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities and complete duties in the allotted time.
  • Arriving for work on time and adheres to the programs attendance policies.
  • Works cooperatively with SCSD personnel to ensure smooth operation and coordination of program.

    • Qualifications

    Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in human services, criminal justice education or closely related field required
  • CADC, LADC II or other comparable certification / license or equivalent experience with substance use treatment groups / services preferred.
  • Experience working with justice involved individuals and / or in a correctional setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of SUD / MAT population and experience working with justice involved individuals in a correctional setting
  • Staff must be able to pass extensive background check and pass drug screening
