Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

$75,500.00 - $124,700.00

What Is the Opportunity?

At Travelers, we aim to enable a streamlined experience for business partners to purchase goods and services to help run our businesses. The Strategic Sourcing Team aims to enhance internal Travelers processes. As an Analyst, Strategic Sourcing, you will provide support in partnership with team members for strategic sourcing, price and contract negotiation, and spend analysis efforts. You will work on matters across different sourcing groups supporting Marketing, Technology, Line of Business, and Corporate Services

What Will You Do?

• Perform aspects of full lifecycle of sourcing activities to negotiate optimal commercial terms with a focus on risk mitigation in adherence with corporate contracting standards.
• Communicate analysis, insights, risks, and results to team and business partners.
• Familiarize yourself with enterprise supplier risk activities of the procurement process.
• Participate in team and division projects and operational initiatives.
• Helps conduct internal benchmarking and analysis in support of multiple categories using Excel and other tools.
• Initially support multiple Strategic Sourcing groups within Corporate Procurement and is expected to support a dedicated area as job responsibilities and skills progress.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

• Bachelor's degree.
• Working knowledge of Procurement, eSourcing, and Excel applications.
• Project planning, negotiating, organizing, documenting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to take quick and decisive actions.

What Is a Must Have?

• Education or experience in either a procurement, strategic sourcing, finance, supplier management, administrative, or related function.
