Manufacturing Engineer Rockford MI

Salary Range : $75000 - $114000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Rockford seeking Manufacturing Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design develop and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Troubleshoot production issues identify root causes and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement tooling fixtures and equipment to enhance manufacturing capabilities and improve ergonomics.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focusing on yield cycle time reduction and waste elimination.
  • Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation including work instructions process flows and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) by ensuring manufacturability and smooth transition from design to production.
  • Collaborate with design quality and production teams to resolve technical challenges and implement engineering changes.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Industrial Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role within a production environment.
  • Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies for process optimization.
  • Experience with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD) and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of various manufacturing processes such as machining assembly and automation.

    • Bonus Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • Experience with advanced data analytics and visualization tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau)
  • Familiarity with ERP (e.g. SAP Oracle) or MES systems
  • Hands-on experience with robotics programming or advanced automation systems
