Shipping Coordinator

9Wood, Inc. is currently recruiting a full-time personable Shipping Coordinator. This position is responsible for coordinating both freight and small parcel shipping operations with respect to schedule and budget. We are looking for someone who is friendly and can work to meet deadlines, enjoys a challenge and can interact and engage with multiple departments and people. Hours for this position are 7 : 30am - 4pm M-F.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently, have computer and technological skills and demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. We are looking for an individual who is extremely reliable and self-motivated. Starting Wage is $17.16 - $19.40 an hour (DOE) with annual compensation appraisals.

Shipping Coordinator responsibilities will include :

• Responsible for executing freight and small parcel shipping priorities and set up the work center processes to meet shipping deadlines and delivery expectations
• Responsible for maintaining all documents and certifications required for the successful operation of this work center
• Ability to read and understand 9Wood's contracts and information packets
• A good understanding of local, state, country and international shipping standards
• Responsible for displaying a level of professionalism associated with Customer of Vendor contact position
• Responsible for ensuring that Shipping activities are under control and on time
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all necessary parties and departments to gain understanding of expectations and needs
• Ability to be proficient and maintain accuracy
• Responsible for maintaining HAZMAT certification. Will need to follow SOP to limit exposure to fines, or termination of agreement with shipping companies.
• Responsible for monitoring and updating any changes in the Freight industry or shipping related standards
