DESIGN 1 ENGINEER (job description 2025)

We have partnered with a Global Automotive Research & Development Firm at their North American HQ to lead a search for their Design 1 Engineer role. Our client is a leader in Auto R&D and this role comes with a tremendous opportunity for growth.

• The Design Engineer's two core responsibilities will include the design (CAD / technical) and communications (project coordination).
• Design Engineers lead and drive the execution of new product development projects from Design through CAE, Prototyping, and Testing.
• You will be designing component parts and make 3D math data and 2D drawings.
• You will lead communications between the customer and the designers.
• You will assist in determining and meeting customer requirements, along with assessment of product performance, manufacturability, and cost management.
• You will set and achieve project objectives, kick-off, milestones, on-time completion and post-project effectiveness analyses.
