Description :

Class A driver needed to organize, perform and complete the delivery of commercial bulk and bagged feeds in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Operate truck in a safe and courteous manner. Safety is first in importance in every delivery task.
  • Maintain truck to include but not limited to pre-trip checks, following required DOT and other regulatory agency requirements.
  • Responsible for cleanliness of truck including regular washing and cleaning of exterior and interior.
  • Loads, reloads and assists other driving in loading as required.
  • Inspects hatches, augers and blowers to confirm they are operational and serviceable.
  • Responsible for ensuring feed is unloaded to the proper location / bin.
  • Ensures accuracy and proper completion of all scale tickets, delivery papers, driver logs and associated documentation.

Requirements :

  • Licenses : Valid class A Commercial driver’s license with appropriate endorsements. Current DMV printout required as part of application process.
  • Driving record must meet minimum risk management requirements.
  • Language Skills : / Ability to read English and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
  • Mathematical Skills : / Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Reasoning : Ability to apply understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Experience : 2+years driving experience.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills to include being courteous and safe on the customer's property, public roads and company property.
