A company is looking for a Temporary Assistant General Counsel.

Key Responsibilities

Review, draft, negotiate, and advise on complex agreements related to programming, licensing, and new initiatives

Provide counsel on rights and obligations under existing agreements and manage renewals and renegotiations

Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes while managing compliance with nonprofit regulations

Required Qualifications

Membership in good standing in the District of Columbia bar or eligibility to waive in

At least 7 years of experience practicing law as a transactional attorney

Experience in handling legal matters in media and / or entertainment fields

J.D. from an accredited law school

Experience supervising and mentoring junior legal staff
