ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Burlington, North Carolina.

Opportunity : RN - Orthopedics

Job Details :

  • Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM
  • Every other weekend coverage required (Saturday and Sunday)
  • No call responsibilities
  • Float required as needed to other units
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
  • Charge RN experience required
  • First time travelers accepted
  • BLS certification required
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Patient ratio experience of 5-6 patients
  • Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
  • 24 hours of orientation provided
  • Care for adult and geriatric orthopedic and medical surgical patients
  • Work with telemetry monitoring capabilities
  • Handle high volume patient populations including total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties
  • Manage moderate volume populations with various surgical procedures and observation patients
  • Skills include blood product administration, central line management, wound care, PCA pumps, and total joint replacement care
  • Work with special equipment including CPMs, Buck's Traction, neck and back braces
  • Unit accommodates ED patients with high acuity levels

    • Facility :

    This medical center operates a 32-bed orthopedic unit that provides comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients. The facility features an on-unit physical therapy gym allowing patients to receive rehabilitation services without leaving the unit. The unit maintains telemetry monitoring capabilities and offers interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The facility emphasizes high-quality patient care with a daily census of 28 patients and maintains strict compliance standards for all healthcare professionals.
