The Senior Software Developer (Data Engineer) will play a pivotal role on an Agile development team (Scrum or Kanban) within the PHP Information Services (IS) Department. In this senior position, you’ll do more than write code, you’ll drive collaboration, mentor peers, and shape technical direction. What You’ll Do :
Analyze the business requirements for data file requests to design, develop, and deploy fully automated ETL jobs to produce data filesDesign, develop, and deploy ETL programs to facilitate the receipt of data from various data sources and the loading of data into destination tables within the overall data architecture frameworkCollaborate to design end-to-end solutions for file creation and distribution, as well as supporting ETL production processes and operationsUtilize advanced understanding of healthcare data models to identify data sources and maps data to required file specificationsDesign and automate data quality and data validation functions as part of the overall solutionLeverage expertise in ETL and the MS SQL platform to perform performance tuning of technologies to manage dataExperience in analysis, data relationships, data aggregation, and summarizationPerform technical peer reviews and code reviewsParticipate in review of potential technical architectures and solutions to improve and enhance existing systems, processes, and data servicesRequired qualifications :
Associate’s Degree -OR- Bachelor’s Degree -OR- a combination of equivalent education / experience8 or more years of demonstrated software development experience in an enterprise environmentPreferred qualifications :
Microsoft SharePoint : Experience with 2010 and 2013Microsoft SharePoint : Experience with InfoPath and ShareGate tools8 or more years of experience working in data engineering1 or more years of Healthcare Care experienceExpertise in MS SQL server (T-SQL, SQL server)Experience with Snowflake or other cloud-based data warehouse systemsExperience in building Data Pipelines using Azure Data FactoryProficient with ETL tools (SSIS / Fivetran)Working Knowledge in job scheduling tools like Automic, TidalIn-depth understanding of database structure principles and Data warehouse principlesKnowledge of scripting languages like PowerShellExpertise in database architecture, storage and Query OptimizerExtensive background in business intelligence tools (., SSIS, SSRS and SSAS)Architectural understanding of reporting tools (., Tableau, SSRS, Crystal Reports and PowerBI)Experience in CI / CD pipelines using Azure DevopsExperience with Git, Visual Studio, Visual Code are preferredWorking knowledge in .Net 4.5 or greater would be an added advantageSalary Range by Location :
