My One Thing: Through my actions and influence, I will help people at the Bellevue Campus feel known, cared for, and connected. My focus will be on building relationships, extending care, and helping people take their next steps in following Jesus. I will also provide leadership for Group Life at Bellevue, serving as part of the broader Calvary Groups Team to create environments so that Life Groups, Growth Groups, and Young Adult Groups are healthy, reproducing, and aligned with Calvary's discipleship culture to make disciples who live and love like Jesus.
DIRECT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Bellevue Campus Pastor in providing consistent, personal, and intentional care for individuals and families.
- Be a visible and relational presence in the lobby, at events, and throughout the week, engaging with people and helping them take next steps toward connection and discipleship.
- Together with Bellevue Campus Pastor and Care Team, ensure that pastoral care needs are supported including hospital visits, prayer support, counseling referrals, weddings, funerals, benevolence coordination, and crisis response.
- Work closely with the Campus Pastor to identify care needs and opportunities for deeper engagement across the campus.
- Recruit, onboard, equip, empower, and shepherd leaders and coaches for life groups and growth groups.
- Build and sustain a leadership pipeline (apprentice - leader - coach) that multiplies leaders and ensures care. Ensuring every life group leader has a coach who is regularly investing in them.
- Facilitate regular huddles that cast the vision of multiplication and leadership development.
- Manage group systems and tools that support placement, onboarding, leader development, and communication, ensuring people can easily find, join, and grow in groups.
- Oversee sermon-based curriculum in partnership with the Teaching Team and ensure timely distribution.
- Resource groups with tools that align with Calvary's Five Essentials: Word, Prayer, Discipleship, Relational Environment, and Leadership Development.
- Oversee the Calvary Reading Plan.
- Lead and shepherd the Young Adult community with a focus on building healthy groups.
- Partner with Missions/Outreach to mobilize groups for serving opportunities with local partners (e.g., Sarpy Care Center).
EXPECTED OUTCOMES
- Engagement: Over 60% of Calvary's weekend attendance are actively connected in a Life Group, Growth Group, or Young Adult Group each year.
- Leader Multiplication: Every leader has a coach, and leaders are consistently developed and multiplied year over year.
- Curriculum & Resources: Sermon-based curriculum is delivered on time with consistency, and the Calvary Reading Plan is actively utilized across Calvary.
- Community Impact: Groups regularly participate in serving projects, with ongoing connections to local ministry partners.
- Healthy Systems: Group health, leader engagement, and participation metrics are consistently tracked and reported.
SAMPLE WEEK BREAKDOWN
While ministry seasons vary, a typical weekly rhythm may include:
- 20 hours - Life Groups, Growth Groups, Leader Development, and Community Engagement (leader meetings, curriculum, care, programming)
- 20 hours - Pastoral duties and campus-wide contribution

- We CONNECT in life-giving smaller groups to help one another follow Jesus.
- Engage in group culture by understanding Calvary groups, joining or leading, and consistently helping people to join or lead themselves.
- We SERVE our home, church family, and community to make God's love known.
- Help people to understand what it means to give of our time and why it matters, and how they can go about it.
- We SHARE our faith and invite others because Jesus makes a difference.
- Cultivate and maintain an evangelistic climate that includes personal investment, invitation, and next steps - including baptism. Educate the campus on the meaning of "One Life" so that everyone knows how to invest in and invite those people who are in their lives. It is an expectation that every staff person at Calvary has a "One Life."
