Authorization Coordinator - Centennial, CO

Compensation : $21 - $25 hourly

Nexus HR is looking for an exceptional and meticulous Authorization Coordinator for a reputable immunology clinic in Colorado. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting and financial processes and laws, good computer, verbal, and written communication skills.

About the Job

The Authorization Coordinator is directly responsible for assisting with care coordination for all patients. As the first point of contact for all new patients, the care coordinator directly controls the patient experience by assisting patients through the intake, insurance authorization, provider care requirements, and coordinating and scheduling the first appointments. In conjunction with the patient engagement team, medical staff, and billing support, the patient coordinator will navigate and resolve any issues that would prevent new patients from obtaining care on time.

Duties and Responsibilities

Support patients with intake, insurance authorizations, and care coordination.

Provide information and resources for new therapies.

Gather medical records and complete authorization checklists

Collaborate with clinical teams before insurance submissions.

Manage peer-to-peer reviews, appeals, and track pending orders.

Schedule and follow up on appointments, including denied therapies.

Handle copay assistance and maintain clear communication with patients and teams.

Ensure compliance, confidentiality, and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

2+ years of medical authorization experience.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and healthcare technologies.

Experience with data analysis and departmental planning

Ability to work on-site in Centennial, CO.
