Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This position offers an opportunity to provide specialized instructional support to young learners in a self-contained elementary classroom focusing on Kindergarten and 1st grade. The role requires a deep understanding of assistive technology to effectively support students, many of whom rely on Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices for communication.

Key Responsibilities :

• Deliver personalized instruction within a self-contained classroom setting, catering to approximately six low-incident students in Kindergarten and 1st grade.
• Utilize assistive technology, including AAC devices, to enhance communication and learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with educational teams and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Monitor student progress and adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation pertaining to student development and classroom activities.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student growth and social development.

Work Hours : 8 : 15 AM to 3 : 45 PM

Contract Duration : School Year (NSY)
