About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Auto Delivery & Rideshare Total Loss Adjuster to join our team in support of a leading auto delivery & rideshare client. In this role, you'll handle total loss claims involving vehicles used in active auto delivery & rideshare service. That includes working with drivers, body shops, salvage vendors, rental providers, and appraisers to deliver fair, fast, and accurate settlements.

You'll be responsible for confirming total losses, validating valuations for high-mileage and commercially used vehicles, and coordinating the recovery process from end to end. Timely communication and efficiency are critical these vehicles are not just insured assets, but sources of livelihood.

You'll also contribute valuable insights to help refine our internal tools and workflows by working directly with product and engineering teams focused on transforming how rideshare claims are handled.

What We Need

  • Provide prompt, courteous and high-quality customer service to all policyholders and claimants by answering customer calls and resolving customer requests
  • Gather necessary information from customers to successfully adjudicate the claim and explain policy, coverage, and appropriate course of action
  • Manage an inventory of claims, establish initial reserves for all potential exposures, and adjust as appropriate throughout the claim
  • Coordinate with our salvage vendor partners for the movement of damaged vehicles and assist with rental reimbursement
  • Recognize recovery opportunities in regards to subrogation and salvage, as well as total loss
  • Ensure compliance with specific state regulations, policy provisions, and standard operating procedures
  • Negotiating and communicating all total loss settlements per company and state guidelines within approved payment authority
  • Provide input for continuous development of claims guidelines, best practices, and process improvements
  • Oversee and direct outside investigative service providers and work closely with the client and client counsel and investigative services to resolve the claim
  • Engage in learning opportunities to build knowledge of personal lines claims, court decisions impacting the claims function, current guidelines in claims function, and policy changes and modifications
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (lack of one should not stop you from applying if you possess all the other qualifications)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience on point and concentrated in total loss claims adjusting, ideally with :
  • Vehicles used for rideshare or commercial purposes
  • First-party comp and collision
  • Third-party property damage liability
  • Experience with Auto Delivery and / or Ride Share (or TNC / Livery) is required.
  • Active insurance adjuster's license by way of a designated home state, or home state
  • Willing to obtain all licenses within 60 days, including completing state required testing
  • Knowledge of state regulations, policy provisions, and standard operating procedures
  • Commercial experience preferred
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate complex data and make sound decisions based on established guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Curious and motivated by problem solving and questioning the status quo
  • Desire to engage in learning opportunities and continuous professional development
  • Willingness to travel for client and claims needs
