Medical Director - Transplant and Cellular Therapy (BMT, CAR-T) (Sacramento, CA)

Opportunity Information

We are seeking a highly qualified and passionate Medical Director for Transplant and Cellular Therapy to lead and oversee the clinical and strategic direction of our cellular therapy program—while maintaining an active clinical practice in hematologic malignancies and / or stem cell transplantation. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine visionary leadership with hands-on patient care and academic engagement.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hematology, cellular therapy, and stem cell transplantation, and be committed to advancing innovative treatment approaches such as CAR-T and other adoptive cellular therapies.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Program Oversight

• Serve as Medical Director of the Cellular Therapy Program, providing strategic and clinical leadership to advance program goals and quality standards.
• Oversee the development and implementation of clinical protocols related to CAR-T, stem cell transplant (autologous and allogeneic), and emerging cellular therapies.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards (FACT, FDA, etc.).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across hematology / oncology optimize program efficiency and patient outcomes.
• Contribute to strategic planning and growth of the cellular therapy program.
• Represent the program at institutional and external meetings, conferences, and collaborative initiatives.
