Key Responsibilities :
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments and procedures, and document care in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests for accurate patient assessment.
- Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to provided care.
- Exercise sound nursing judgment in all patient care management decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administer medications, both over-the-counter and prescription, as ordered.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
- Guide and direct ancillary personnel while maintaining high standards of professional nursing practice.
Minimum Qualifications :
Graduate of a professional nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.Current New York State Registered Nurse license required.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is necessary.1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care recommended.Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.Knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools, with the ability to apply them in enhancing patient care quality.Thank you for considering a career with Albany Medical Center!
