Hourly : $52.84 - $69.81
Position Summary
The Department of Nursing, in the School of Health Professions at National University, invites applications for part-time faculty - Clinical assignments / courses only for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of or potential for excellence in teaching in their field and a commitment to serving the university’s diverse adult student body. The successful candidate will have the potential for a commitment to serving the university’s diverse adult student body. This position primarily works closely with the Academic Program Director and other faculty within the program and contributes to ensuring program quality, student engagement, and success.
Essential Job Duties :
- Lead Clinical sessions onsite.
- Provide substantive, timely feedback to students on various assessment activities.
- Maintain a positive, safe, inclusive student-centric learning environment.
- Complete required tasks on deadlines (e.g., final grades, assessment, grading rubrics, input for grade appeals, etc.)
- Maintain appropriate professional training and / or scholarly activities, when applicable.
- Provide feedback to the course lead regarding the course content.
- Identify at-risk students and collaborate with student services.
Qualifications :
A Master of Science degree in Nursing (MSN) from a nationally or regionally accredited institution.Direct patient care experience within the previous five (5) years in the nursing area to which he or she is assigned, which can be met by : One (1) year's continuous, full-time or its equivalent experience providing direct patient care as a registered nurse in the designated nursing area; or One (1) academic year of registered nurse level clinical teaching experience in the designated nursing area or its equivalent that demonstrates clinical competency; AND Completion of at least one (1) year's experience teaching courses related to registered nursing or completion of a post-baccalaureate course which includes practice in teaching registered nursing.Must have a current and unencumbered CA Registered Nursing license.Must reside and be eligible to work in the United States.For full consideration, interested candidates should provide the following :
