Applicants should have a current state RN license or a current RN licensure with a multistate compact state and possess an associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Language Skills : Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Department / Unit Summary
25 bed unit with private rooms
All patients are on telemetry monitor and being monitored on the unit.
ADT Charge Nurse- assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
Team nursing model
Patient population consist of patients with heart history and surgery patients post heart cath.
Assesses the patient's condition and nursing care needs
Sets goals and prescribes appropriate nursing interventions to meet physical, psychological, social and rehabilitative needs of patients
Develops individual nursing care plans
Implements care plans and makes revisions as needed
Evaluates patient care outcomes
Collaborates with physicians and other hospital employees
Administers medications, treatments and therapies.
Communicates with patients and oversees provision of care.
Accurately documents nursing observations, assessments, medications, treatments, and other care given.
Maintains facility equipment, supplies and work areas.
Coordinates and supervises activities of employees and department operations
Participates in performance / process improvement activities.
