Laboratory Assistant

Join Pride Health as a Specimen Technician at Miramar, FL! This is a 12 months contract role (with high possibility of extension or conversion) offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.

Role : Specimen Technician

Location : Miramar, FL 33025

Shift Schedule : Tuesday – Saturday | 1 : 00 AM – 9 : 30 AM

Hours per Week : 40 hours

Start Date : ASAP

Pay Highlights : $17 - 19.75 / hour (Based on years of experience)

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform specimen handling functions including sorting, racking, centrifugation, aliquoting, storage, pickup, and delivery
• Identify and resolve specimen-related issues such as missing information or incorrect labeling.
• Understand and apply compliance regulations related to test ordering and specimen handling.
• Meet quality and productivity standards within six months of training completion.
• Accurately document all tasks and ensure records are legible and completed within deadlines.
• Maintain punctuality, consistent attendance, and reliability in supporting departmental coverage needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S standards
• Support team performance by adapting to schedule changes, covering absences, and assisting other departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications :

Education : High School Diploma or GED required.
