Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

• Full-time- a minimum of 25-30 clients per week. See as many clients as you would like.
• Wave Therapy provides individual, couple, teen, child and family therapy.
• Referrals are handled for you with a full intake team.

• $30-$80/hr (depending on the type of insurance and cash paying client).

• We currently have 8 offices: 2 in Carlsbad and 2 in Vista, 1 in Laguna Hills, and 1 in Mission Valley, 1 in Rancho Bernardo and a virtual team.
• Create your own schedule.
• You will have your own furnished office with a budget to personalize it and make it your own.
• We will provide you with client referrals.
• We contract with a company to do our billing. (you do not have to do any billing at all; it is all handled for you).
• We provide you with an easy-to-use electronic health records program.
• We provide clinical support, supervision, collaboration, and education.
• We provide you with training and a mentorship program to help you as you get started with your practice.
• We encourage you to find your niche and to serve the population you enjoy working with and offer supervision and education to support your growth.
• We welcome Associates, newly licensed and seasoned Therapists.

• Provide caring, compassionate, quality therapy to clients.
• Scheduling your own clients and inputting the necessary information and documentation.
• Timely completion of progress notes, initial assessments, treatment plans, charge forms, and other case records. (electronic, simple, fas,t and easy to use).
• Attend weekly consultation groups/staff meetings.

• Associate Marriage and Family Therapist AMFT/APCC.
• Experience in a private practice is preferred but not required. If you have the clinical skills, we will teach you what you need to know to be successful in a private practice setting.
• Compassion, communication skills, and the desire to work as a member of a team.
• Attendance at paid weekly staff meetings with a collaborative group for supervision, consultation, education and training.

Wave Therapy was established in 2014 by Mark Brewer, MFT, LPCC, in Carlsbad, CA. As an established Marriage and Family Therapist in Private Practice, Mark had a vision that by uniting some of the finest therapists and nurse practitioners together WAVE would be able to offer clients the highest level of compassion, support, and wisdom for self growth and improvement, as well as to enhance relationships in their lives. It has always been Mark’s vision to grow the practice and when the time was right, expand into new locations.
