Procurement Category Specialist

for a

CONTRACT

Utility Services

clients in

Tampa, FL .

Responsibilities

Provide analytical and administrative support for category management and sourcing activities. Assist in preparing sourcing events, analyzing supplier proposals, and maintaining accurate procurement data.

Collect and analyze spend data, supplier metrics, market trends

Prepare reports and dashboards

Assist in drafting RFQs / RFPs and bid packages

Maintain contract records and process amendments

Support day‑to‑day supplier communication

Verify supplier compliance and maintain audit‑ready documentation

Identify opportunities to streamline data management and reporting

Escalate complex problems to Category Specialist or Manager

Office environment; meetings in various locations; occasional overtime / weekend / on‑call support

Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field

3 years of procurement or supply chain experience

Analytical and Excel skills, familiarity with ERP systems, detail‑oriented, organizational and communication skills

Must be able to operate a motor vehicle safely; walk, stand, or sit for extended periods; normal working conditions with occasional weekend and overtime requirements

Preferred Skills

CPSM, CIPS, or working toward certification

Experience with eSourcing tools

Basic understanding of procurement regulations and contract terms
