Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Experienced with performing site investigations for a variety of contaminant sources including landfill, RCRA, industrial, brownfields, retail petroleum, and dry-cleaning sites;
• Experienced with field activities such as soil and groundwater sampling, installation of soil borings and monitoring wells, installation and sampling of soil gas monitoring points, and indoor air sampling;
• Management and analysis of sampling data, including summary tables, result interpretation, and sample location maps;
• Performance of Phase I/II environmental assessments of a broad range of industrial and commercial facilities;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, experienced with stakeholder communication;
• Preparation of technical reports.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• BS in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field
• 4+ years of related environmental consulting experience and local experience with regulatory agencies in North Carolina;
• Ability to work effectively on multiple assignments, prioritizing and delegating activities, and delivering on tight deadlines;
• Capable of working independently, under direct supervision of others, and in a team-orientated environment;
• Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record;
• Commitment to safety

Technical Requirements:

• Professional Registration ( or , in good standing, preferably in North Carolina
• Microsoft PC applications; WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint
• Preferred 40-Hour Hazwoper
• Strong technical, analytical, and research skills

Other miscellaneous qualities:

• Ability to travel 20% of the time
• Ability to perform moderately strenuous tasks
