About The Position

Job Title : Occupational Therapist Profession : Occupational Therapist Specialty : Rehab Services Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8H Days Hours per Shift : 8 hours Experience : Minimum of 1 year License : Licensed in state of practice Certifications : BLS Must-Have : Generalist with evaluation and treatment skills to cover a broad range of patients Description : Department : Occupational Therapy Number of patients treated per day is highly variable based on census and scheduled hours. Common diagnoses include general medical conditions, CVA, hip fractures, post-op total hip replacements and total knee replacements, adhesive capsulitis, tendon injuries, upper extremity fractures, carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, developmental delay, autism, sensory issues, and various syndromes. Patient care settings include inpatient, swing-bed, assisted living, and outpatient environments. Required coverage areas include all assigned. Current scheduling includes 4 ten-hour shifts or 5 eight-hour shifts, with patients scheduled based on clinical need determined by the therapist. No weekend or holiday requirements currently exist. Dress code consists of black scrubs or a black collared shirt with khaki pants. Pediatric care is provided in an outpatient setting, with additional responsibilities in assisted living and swing bed care, comprising variable percentages of the workload. Acute care makes up approximately 40% of patient treatment, while outpatient care also comprises about 40%. Charting is conducted using Cerner Corporation - Millennium. Required certifications include BLS.
