General Summary:

The Sales Associate position could be full time or part time. This is a permanent position. No seasonal applications please.

Your primary responsibility will be to positively represent Lori's Ace Home & Hardware through proactively helping customers with their shopping needs and solving problems. You will receive training to become a knowledgeable advisor for our customers. You will also assist in the receiving, stocking and pricing of all merchandise, and help maintain a clean and orderly merchandise presentation and overall store cleanliness.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

• Provide a positive representation of Lori's Ace.
• Assist customers throughout the store with personal, customized service based on the premise of wowing every customer, every time.
• Proactively assist customers in solving problems.
• Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.
• Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.

Store Operations:

• Assist in creating a positive, professional and safe work environment.
• Assist with receiving, checking in and stocking of merchandise throughout the store.
• Assist with maintaining back stock levels.
• Assist with daily maintenance, orderliness and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock room and outdoor merchandise area.
• Assist with providing a clean and orderly sales floor, including end caps and merchandise.
• Assist with merchandise resets through the store.
• Participate in store meetings.
• Be professional in appearance and actions.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education/Training:

Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent

Qualifications & Experience:

• Superior customer service skills.
• Ability to influence others.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Friendly personality.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to learn store products and services.
• Previous retail experience preferred but not required.

Physical Demands:

Working at Lori's Ace is a physical position. Candidate must be able to stand for long periods of time, walk at a quick pace, lift up to 30 lbs and climb step ladders.

Wage: Starts at $14 per hour
