JOB SUMMARY :

The Staff Accountant supports the Senior Director of Accounting and Senior Accountant supervisor in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance / Accounting Department. It's responsible for the company's financial operations including accounting, treasury management, forecasting and financial statements preparation and analysis. The Accountant will be able to handle all aspects of accounting, bookkeeping, inventory evaluation, and monthly financial reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a Bachelor's degree in Business with emphasis in accounting, is required.
  • 2-5 years' experience in Accounting Services function or a combination of school and experience.
  • Financial Accounting and reporting expertise.
  • Expert level QuickBooks, Excel and data manipulation
  • Smartsheet experienced preferred
  • Tableau experience preferred
  • Advanced-level users of the full Microsoft office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures.

    • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Perform accounting tasks as assigned, including accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close, and timely reporting of all required monthly financial information
  • Perform such other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time - quite often on short notice - by the CFO, Senior Director of Accounting or Senior Accountant Supervisor.
  • Assist with the preparation of commission calculations, including Federal and State tax compliance and reporting
  • Prepare annual financial reports and trial balances to enable auditors to complete annual audit
  • Post company and employee expenses, cash receipts, credit card, travel and checks
  • Reconcile all bank statements daily and monthly
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations as assigned
  • Manage company Line of business reconciliations as assigned
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
  • Prepare, reconcile and book Inventory
  • Ensure that all information from accounting and administrative operations remain confidential
  • Maintain and ensure the confidentiality of employee files, including payroll files, attendance records and benefit files
  • Prepare invoices and handle A / R for a specific LOB within the organization
