[job_card.job_description]Applicants must be currently enrolled in or have completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution. Flexibility and willingness are great attributes Applicants should demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with individuals struggling with addiction. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with clients, team members, and supervisors. You will receive regular supervision sessions with experienced supervisors who will provide guidance, feedback, and support as you work with clients. You will have the chance to observe and participate in counseling sessions under the supervision of licensed professionals, allowing you to learn from real-world scenarios and interactions. Supervisors will review and provide feedback on your clinical documentation, ensuring accuracy, thoroughness, and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards. Internship durations are flexible and can be tailored to fit your academic schedule and requirements This internship does NOT sponsor visa's and we are unable to consider out of country applicants
Job Description
Sunrise Detox :
Position Title : Intern
Sunrise Detox is a premiere center for drug and alcohol detox. Sunrise promises to give you one of the most comfortable medical detox processes available. We believe in creating a different experience where our road to recovery is dignified. Our clients reside in comfortable modern, elegantly furnished rooms where good nutrition is also an essential part of the detoxification process. We offer individual and group counseling to clients and bring in 12 Step meetings to show clients they are not alone once they leave treatment.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- New patient intake and orientation
- Facilitates orientation groups with patients
- Conducts group sessions for all patients
- Addresses patient's concerns and helps eliminate possibility of AMA
- Documentation in patient medical record
