Skilled Nursing Facility is currently looking for a Director Of Maintenance to join our team of healthcare professionals.

The Director Of Maintenance is responsible for the day to day coordination and oversight of all aspects of the upkeep of the physical plant and its surroundings. This includes, but is not limited to minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs. Job duties include, but are not limited to :
- Daily physical plant rounds, inspection of the facility for issues to be repaired.
- Preventive Maintenance rounds of physical plant.
- Minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs of facility and equipment within. Painting a must.
- Perform daily plant rounds and make corrections to lighting and cosmetic issues as needed.
- Check maintenance request logs books minimum 3 times a day and make appropriate corrections.
- Perform other duties requested by staff and supervisors within facility, including furniture moves, equipment repairs, problem solving issues as needed.
- Work closely with staff to improve quality of living quarters of residents.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance rounds assessing different aspects of facility.
- Perform any assigned special projects as designated by Administrator.
- Work to improve overall function of systems within facility.
- Ensure the facility remains free of hazards and in compliance with all Federal, State and Local rules and regulations.
- Oversee the team of the Maintenance and Housekeeping Dept. ensuring tasks are delegated and completed daily.
- Ensure all mandatory inspections of physical plant systems are scheduled, conducted timely, and maintain records of these inspections.
- Be familiar with all equipment used in the facility including HVAC, boilers, water heaters, emergency generator, kitchen, laundry, plumbing, electrical, and fire alarm systems.
- Be familiar with Life Safety and OSHA rules and regulations.
- Schedules outside vendors for assistance in repairing equipment or to perform preventive maintenance when necessary.
Qualifications / Skills / Educational Requirements :
Long Term Care experience preferredStrong Electrical or HVAC experience soughtStrong LTC / SNF experience / managerial skills / HVAC / ELEC / OR PLUMBINGOn call responsibilitiesScheduling experienceAlways must adhere to infection control and safety standards.Pushing / pulling / lifting / carrying up to 50 pounds.Valid New Jersey driver's license requiredCertification in the maintenance management field preferred.At least two (2) years’ experience in area of assignmentTime management and communication skills are a must.Ability to be available off normal business hours to respond to facility emergencies.Experience in long term care settings is required for this position.Director Of Maintenance Position Requirements :
