Surgical Technician (OR - Cardiac Surgery)

SnapCare is seeking dedicated Surgical Technicians (OR - Cardiac Surgery) with a minimum of two (2) years of OR Cardiac Surgery experience to assist in surgeries involving the heart and blood vessels during complex procedures like open-heart surgery, coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), and valve replacements in the operating room. Additional responsibilities include the preparation of instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during a surgical procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.

Qualifications - California Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (required by most CA hospitals)
• Minimum of two (2) years of OR Cardiac Surgery experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - American Heart Association (AHA) preferred
• LA City Fire and Life Safety card (must be LA City),
• MAP or CPI
• Proof of full COVID
• Seasonal Flu
• Knowledge of California hospital standards and protocols, including Title 22 compliance
• Proficiency in handling cardiac-specific instruments and equipment (e.g., sternal saws, bypass cannulas, chest retractors)
• Ability to anticipate surgeon needs in a high-acuity, fast-paced cardiac OR environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Must be willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and on-call as needed
