Job Description :

Amherst College invites applications for the Electronic Resources Associate position. The Electronic Resources Associate is a part-time, year-round position. The expected salary range for this job opportunity is : $23.00 - $26.00 per hour .

The salary offered will vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to relevant education, training, and experience, tenure status, and other nondiscriminatory business considerations. The Electronic Resources Associate contributes to the goals and priorities of the Amherst College Library by supporting the library's subscription-based electronic and print resources. The primary responsibilities of this position are compiling and recording e-resources usage statistics, troubleshooting routine access issues, and receiving and processing print serials for discovery and access. The Electronic Resources Associate works closely with the Electronic Resources & Discovery Librarian and the Electronic Resources Specialist to manage the library's subscribed resources with a user focus, and participates fully as a member of the Collection Management department and the library.

This is a 20-hour / week position and the schedule may be flexible. This position is eligible for hybrid work, with some duties able to be performed remotely and some requiring on-site work.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities :

Electronic Resources Support

• Troubleshoots access issues received from users and library staff; resolves routine issues and refers complex access issues
• Keeps administrative logins, license records, vendor contact information, and other relevant information up-to-date in our integrated library system (FOLIO)
• Supports usability and accessibility initiatives related to electronic resources interfaces, and participates in electronic resources-related projects as needed
