Description

In this newly created leadership role, you’ll guide a high-performing team of  machine learning engineers and researchers  in exploring and applying  LLM technologies  to enhance quantitative research, model development, and trading decision-making. You’ll play a pivotal role in identifying transformative use cases for LLMs within systematic finance — from automating research insights to powering next-generation analytics and signal generation.

  • Lead the design and development of  LLM-driven tools  that empower quantitative researchers and accelerate idea generation.
  • Partner closely with  machine learning, research, and portfolio management  teams to deploy LLM applications that support signal discovery and strategy development.
  • Act as a  thought leader  and  subject matter expert  on advancements in large language models and generative AI, staying ahead of emerging technologies and their potential applications in systematic trading.
  • Provide strategic direction on integrating LLM methodologies into existing research and trading workflows.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a team of  AI engineers and quantitative researchers , fostering innovation, experimentation, and excellence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to define best practices for model deployment, scalability, and responsible AI use within the firm.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning, or related STEM field.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience researching or applying large language model technologies (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-source models).
  • Proven track record of leading technical or research teams in an AI, ML, or quantitative environment.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals, model deployment, and natural language processing.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to bridge research, engineering, and business objectives.
