Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school district in Mount Pleasant, SC, is seeking dedicated Teachers for the Visually Impaired to support K-12 students, primarily at the middle school level. This is a contract position for the current school year (CSY), serving as an itinerant teacher working closely with visually impaired students to enhance their learning experience.

Responsibilities :

• Provide specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students across K-12.
• Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and implement individualized education plans.
• Adapt curriculum and materials to meet students unique visual needs.
• Travel between schools within the district to deliver services.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
