Insurance Billing Assistant

A company is looking for an Insurance Billing / Collection Assistant III (Remote) - Surgery.

Key Responsibilities

Perform advanced billing and collection activities, including making collection calls and verifying claims

Handle discounts, adjustments, and charge corrections while ensuring timely payment of claims

Act as a lead assistant, training and guiding other billing and collection staff

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent certification

Minimum of 3 years of experience in billing or insurance

No specific certification or professional license required

Post-secondary education preferred but not required

Experience with collections strategies and medical terminology is beneficial
