Who We Are

HII Mission Technologies is expanding our E25 Work Control Team in Newport News! We are seeking motivated professionals to support Mechanical and Electrical Work Control for CVN RCOH projects. We are specifically looking for candidates with U.S. Navy experience in Interior Communication Systems and their associated subsystems. Please note that this is an on-site position based in Norfolk and Newport News, Virginia, supporting critical CVN overhauls.

What You Will Do

• Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
• Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.
• Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics).
• Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data.
• Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports.
• May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.

What You Will Do

• AA or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 3 years of related experience, or HS + 5 years related (DoD/USN) experience.
• Candidate must have prior U.S. Navy experience specifically within Interior Communications (IC) systems and subsystems.
• Candidate must hold an active Secret security clearance.
• Candidate must demonstrated experience using ESOMS/eTag tag-out systems.
• Candidate must have ability to read and interpret complex system drawings and diagrams to establish system isolations in support of production.
• Candidate must be capable of collaborating in a team environment.

Bonus Points For Having!

• Prior US Navy Experience aboard NIMITZ Class Aircraft Carriers
• Prior US Navy Experience in Interior Communications Ratings
• Prior experience in a shipyard environment during overhaul.

Physical Requirements

• Job performance requires adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the job. A waterfront office work environment is normally encountered.
• Candidate will be preforming physical ship checks on equipment as necessary.
