Certified Financial Counselor

A company is looking for a Financial Counselor Remote - Radiation Oncology.

Key Responsibilities :

Act as an intermediary in financial matters related to patient accounts, ensuring accurate collection of estimated patient liabilities

Verify insurance benefits and coverage, and respond to customer inquiries regarding charges and account settlements

Coordinate financial counseling activities with various hospital departments and maintain thorough documentation of patient interactions

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education :

High School Diploma or GED required

Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience in Patient Access Services or related fields

Certifications such as CHAA, CPAR, or CRCR required upon hire

Experience in financial counseling or healthcare collections preferred

Proficiency in patient registration systems and Microsoft Office Suite preferred
