The Facilities Management department delivers essential services such as operations, maintenance, housekeeping, environmental health and safety, emergency management, and construction to ensure safe, clean, and functional environments. As a Building Attendant I, you will help maintain these standards across patient care and prevention facilities.

Salary Range: Minimum $18.00 Midpoint $20.54 - Maximum $23.07

Work Location: Houston, Texas

The typical work schedule has multiple shifts available:

• MondayFriday & Weekends, 7:00am3:30pm
• MondayFriday & Weekends, 3:00pm11:30am
• MondayFriday, 5:00pm1:30am & SaturdaySunday, 2:30pm11:00pm
• MondayFriday & Weekends, 11:00am7:30pm
• MondayFriday & Weekends, 10:30pm7:00am

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and housekeeping tasks in assigned areas
• Inspect spaces to identify needs and ensure quality standards
• Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Record and report cleaning activities to supervisors
• Collect and dispose of trash, sharps, and special waste
• Support floor care including scrubbing, stripping, waxing, buffing, and burnishing
• Maintain cleaning equipment in satisfactory condition
• Comply with all institutional policies and standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

OTHER REQUIREMENTS In this role, you are considered ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL.

Please Note: You may be required to transport Covid-19 suspected and/or positive trash. You will be provided with appropriate Protective Equipment (PPE). The required PPE will involve a Fit Test. Proper fitting may necessitate trimming or shaving facial hair because beard growth or facial hair prevents the necessary seal between the respirator and the face.
