Floor Supervisor - The Gathering Spot LA

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Floor Supervisor to oversee daily club operations and ensure exceptional experiences for our members and their guests.

The ideal candidate will lead by example, manage front-of-house staff, and maintain the highest standards of service, hospitality, and operational excellence befitting our exclusive club environment.

Key Responsibilities Staff Management & Leadership Supervise and coordinate front-of-house team including servers, hosts, and support staff Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily specials, club events, and operational updates Train new employees on service standards, club protocols, and member recognition procedures Schedule staff and manage time-off requests to ensure adequate coverage Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to team members Member & Guest Experience Monitor service quality and member satisfaction throughout each shift Handle member concerns and resolve issues promptly with discretion and professionalism Ensure adherence to club service standards and hospitality protocols Assist with member and guest reception, seating coordination, and special arrangements Maintain visual presence throughout club facilities to anticipate member needs Uphold club dress code and behavioral standards for all members and guests Event Planning & Menu Development Collaborate with management on food and beverage event ideation and execution Assist in menu curation and seasonal menu development initiatives Stay current with hospitality industry trends and recommend innovative service concepts Support planning and execution of member events, private dining experiences, and special occasions Coordinate with culinary team on menu pairings and presentation standards Operations Management Open and close club facilities according to established procedures Oversee POS system operations, and end-of-shift reporting Monitor inventory levels for front-of-house supplies and coordinate restocking Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards Coordinate with kitchen staff to manage food timing and special member requests Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding member information and activities Administrative Duties Complete daily operational reports and incident documentation Assist with staff scheduling and labor cost management Participate in management meetings and contribute to operational improvements Assist with member event coordination and special functions Required Qualifications 2+ years of supervisory experience in upscale restaurant, hotel, or private club environment Demonstrated experience in food and beverage event ideation and execution Background in menu curation and development Strong knowledge of current hospitality trends and industry best practices Strong leadership and communication skills with emphasis on discretion and professionalism Knowledge of POS systems and basic club management technology Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain) RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) certification or willingness to obtain within 14 days of hire High school diploma or equivalent required Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree in hospitality management, culinary arts, or related field Experience with staff scheduling software Previous fine dining or high-volume service experience Private club or luxury hospitality background Wine knowledge and beverage program experience Experience managing multiple operational aspects in smaller restaurant environments Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Capacity to lift up to 25 pounds Manual dexterity for handling equipment and supplies Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience Performance-based bonuses Health insurance and paid time off Daily meal credit Opportunities for advancement within the organization We are an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.   Powered by JazzHR
