As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Database Developer who shares our passion for quality and community to help shape the future of our brand. The Database Developer is responsible for building and launching new data sources into our Fabric Lakehouse and taking it to the next level. This person is self-motivated and able to work with diverse teams while independently supporting their needs through data extraction,
transformation and loading processes. This person further knows how to make cutting-edge solutions to Lakehouse's, warehouses and tables while troubleshooting issues when they occur. By working in a small, collaborative team, you will help transform our data presence through more data, faster data and better data.

Work Location :

Bring in new data sources to help with all relevant stakeholdersDrive data lake houses and warehouses optimization and improvements, employing industry best practices where applicable and aligning to business needsCreate secure access to Microsoft Fabric aligning to data security and least privilegeCreate real-time and batch pipelines to download and load data into Fabric lakehouse and process for readabilityPerform break-fix analysis on issues relating to PipelinesExecute medium and large projects with diverse stakeholders, using new data sources into the data lakeCommunicate professionally with diverse stakeholders representing the company brand and operations with external vendors, partners and customers.Document processes, and train users on report pulling, best practicesOperate independently and under pressure, working with different stakeholders as neededIndependently create customized code-base within Fabric Notebooks for data ingestion using tools such as Python, pyspark or sparkLaunch secure operational stance within Azure services including automated monitoring, security principal access and Disaster RecoveryEducation and / or Work Experience Requirements :
Minimum :
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field2-4 years of experience in a database development role3+ yrs of SQL Server query knowledge and database principles3+ yrs of Data Lake / Data Warehousing principles2+ yrs of Python / Pyspark scripting knowledge1.5+ yrs of Microsoft Fabric / Microsoft Synapse1+ yrs of Microsoft PowerBI (recommended)Experience with Microsoft SQL Management Studio for query building and database maintenanceExperience with in writing both simple and complex scripts in the language of Python and PysparkExperience with Cloud based suites such as Microsoft Fabric for data transfers and ETLExperience with Data warehousing or Data Lake fundamentalsAbility to communicate to stakeholders effectivelyAbility to complete projects in a given timeframeAbility to document project completion with proper data flows and runbooksExperience with PowerBI(recommended)Why Join Marco's?
